Ipsy glam bag - May

I recieved my May ipsy bag today, and lucky for me, its just what I needed to brighten my mood today.  Today marks the 6 year anniversary of my dad's passing so I am feeling pretty low today.  So a bright pink package was exactly what I needed.  First of all, the bag this month is adorable!  I love the colors of it!  I think this one may be going into my purse pretty soon!  haha.
Inside there were some great products as well.  First, for only $10 I think this subscription service is great.  It never disappoints me the way birchbox did.  You always get deluxe and full size items in your bag, and they are products like are actually useful!
The first item I saw was the Zoya polish of course!  Its a minty color, Neely.  Next is a NuMe finishing serum.  I have never tried it, but will give it a shot.  We also recieved a yaby concealor, a lipgloss from juicebeauty and a roll on perfume from pacifica.  The perfume smells great and a roll-on is always handy when traveling.  All in all, another great bag fro Ipsy!

Popsugar must have box - may

Details to come - I left the info card at home, oops!

Little black bag haul

It's been a while since I posted one of these, but thought I'd share my picks for the month. They had a promo where if you picked a pair of shoes you got a bag for free. Why in the world I picked these shoes though......no idea!  Lol. Ever since I broke my ankle it's been hard to wear even a 2 inch heel. The ones I picked were 5 inches!!!  Ahhhhh!!!!
I'm gonna try to work up to them though.

Tria, laser hair removal at home

I can't believe I'm going to admit this, but I have facial hair. As many brunettes deal with, I have a mustache I deal with daily. It sucks, plain and simple. But I know it's an issue many women deal with. I've wanted to do something about it for a while but I was afraid. Well I finally had the guts and started to research laser hair removal. While looking into it and watching reviews on.youtube I found Tria. It's an at home laser hair remover. They sell it at sephora, and it's $449......not cheap. But I decided to try it. With sephoras return policy I thought if I don't like it then I can return it for a full refund. It came in yesterday so today is my first time trying it. I will do a second post In a moment on my reaction . It says for full results use weekly for 3 months. I guess we shall see!!!

First bauble bar purchase!

As you can tell, I couldn't even wait to get out of the car to open this package from bauble bar! I ordered the classic rose gold pave style bracelet. I'm loving it! I have worn it every day since I got it, and it doesn't leave a green ring around my wrist and no stones have fallen. Just the over all quality is great! I will certainly never do another jewel mint order! This bracelet is $28. I bought it with their tax time sale so I got a little discount on it. I would highly recommend their site!!!

My old Kentucky home....

Living in the bluegrass you must add an equestrian flair to your home!

Diana was MIA

Sorry I took an unplanned break from my blog, hadn't been shopping much and work has been crazy. But I guess that's a good thing! This is my first spring in my house so I have been doing a lot outdoors and decorating my house. I think I am nearly done! Need to buy a bookcase and a grill. I have a bzzagent event coming to try out some weed and bug killer, so while its not beauty related I am looking forward to it! Lol

Laura Mercier caviar stick eye color

I am falling in love with this product! On w whim I recently picked up a couple of the Laura Mercier caviar eye sticks and I love them! They apply so smooth and best of all, with my sensitive eyes they don't irritate me! I created the look below with rose gold and khaki. It blends so nicely and stays on very well. I didn't use any base and after wearing it all day it didn't crease. I will be picking up a couple more of these for sure! I also used a sample of a mascara I got from sephora, guerlain maxi lash. It's also great. I may like it more than my Armani eyes to kill actually. I may need to get this in full size as well.

Ted Gibson Brazen Brown shampoo

I heard about Ted Gibsons product line recently and had to try it. Basically there are color deposits in the shampoo and conditioner. It's available in blonde, brown and red. You shampoo and condition like normal but let it set in your hair for 3-5 minutes. At first I didn't see much of a difference but the second time I saw more of the color was taking. My old highlights that looked brassy now had more of a light brown color plus in general my brown was shiny and looked much fresher. I am very happy with the product and will keep using it. I bought mine from dermstore, and it was around $25 per bottle.

I think it's time for a new orgasm!

I don't always hit pan on a product......I usually get bored with it first. Well I have majorly hit pan with my Nars blush. It's my favorite blush! It's starting to break apart so I think it's done. I see a trip to sephora coming up VERY soon.

Attack of the spring dresses

Something this year has made me dress crazy. In the last 2 months I think I've picked up 4 dresses and 2 skirts. Plus I have a closet full of dresses. Haha. I just love all things Girly. What are your favorite styles? With spring right around the corner what are you reaching for?

Throw back Thursday

I wanted a fun happy spring polish so I pulled out one of my favorite polishes from last summer. I loved Dior Bikini so much last year and I still do! Lol. It's the perfect coral color. After the last few days I needed something happy. Haha

Opi goldeneye

I finally did my nails with goldeneye and I love it! I bought it when the 007 collection came out but had only used it on an accent nail before. I'm totally loving it now though. It's the perfect gold! It just makes me thing of summer, which is probably intensified because I am over the snow. Haha

Sigma Eyeshadow Bases

I recieved my eye shadow bases over the weekend and I was super excited to share these with everyone.  I am loving these bases!  They are super creamy and well pigmanted as well.  They have 3 different sets to choose from, but I ended up going with the Flare set.

The sets come with 3 different bases and a brush for application.  If anyone has used Sigma brushes then you know how good the quality of them are.

Each of the sets have a neutral color and then the Flare kit has more purpley colors.  With the other 2 sets the Dare set has plum and burgandy while the Bare has charcoal and brown.  I had trouble debating between the Bare and Flair, but in the end went with the purples instead.

Here are the swatches of each color I recieved.  Left to Right they are Provoke, Spy and Persue.  The set of 3 and brush is $36, but there is also an option to buy single colors as well.  Each individual pot is $13.

You can check these out as well as all their other products at http://www.sigmabeauty.com and if you use the code BASE2013 you recieve 10% off.  Also, this is a general discount code not a referral link, I get no incentive to post this.

New Coach purse

They had an extra discount on handbags on the coach factory site so I splurged and picked up a bag I wanted. This is the Park leather carryall in stone/putty. I love this bag! I like traditional style ladylike leather bags so this filled my tastes perfectly. The size is pretty good, but not so big that you end up carrying tons of stuff. Haha.

I buy most of my Coach bags from the outlet stores or the online sales.  These bags are 100% authentic, you dont have to worry about knock offs.  Prices are great too.  I have seen people pay upwards of $80 for a bag that is clearly a fake.  For $150 you can get an authentic bag that is of high quality.

Online sales happen often, but you need to recieve an email invite for it.  You can go to http://coachfactory.com and click on BECOME A MEMBER to recieve the notification on their sales.

Cutest keychain ever!!!!

I bought a bag on the coach factory sale, and they have free shipping if you spend over $150......my bag was $148. Lol. So I added this keychain on for $15......but since shipping would have been $10, I basically got it for $5. It's so cute!! I love it, especially the fuzzy tail on the back!!! Haha

A lady lives here....

This was too funny and I had to share! My sofa is a sectional and it has the built in cup holder and a cubby. I just realized in the cup holder was my buffing cube and nail clippers and in the cubby was a wide array of polishes! Lol. Isn't that supposed to be where you keep your remotes? Hmmm....polish is better! Lol

Products I just can't review

I got my second package of baby formula today!!! How did I get on gerbers mailing list!!!

Defining Eyes Collection from Sigma

When I ordered my makeup brushes I also went ahead and bought the Defining Eyes makeup set.  Its a beautiful set, with some great colors.  It comes with 8 shadows, 2 cream liners, double ended eye liner and a double ended brush.  The brushes are great, as is typical with Sigma but my one complaint is that the eye shadows crease if you do not use a base.  I know that most shadows are like that, I just think I was spoiled by what I have been using lately.  But adding my primer potion really helps.  This is a great kit, and as my first makeup purchase from sigma, a great buy.  I just bought their primers so I am looking forward to those as well!

Sigma brush set

I finally gave in, and ordered the Sigma brush set I have been wanting.  I was so excited for this to come in, and of course I had it sent to my office so someone could physically recieve the package.  I didnt count on getting sick and have to leave my poor bursh set sitting on my desk for a few days.  :-(  So I finally got it, and wanted to share the picture with you.  Also, I had to take the pictures in the guest room (that is still not painted!!!) because I had stripped the bed in my room to wash my sheets.  Anyway, here we go.....

This is the Essential Kit, Make Me Cool.  The retail price on this is $120.  I used a discount code though for 10% off.

This is how the package arrives.  Everything is sealed nicely and in perfect shape.

F30 - Large Powder: Even powder application. Uniform blending of powder products onto the face and body.
F40 - Large Angled Contour: Subtle cheek application. Use the angle to softly contour the cheekbone. Can also be used to apply blush.
F50 - Duo Fibre: Creates an airbrush effect onto the skin. Can be used with powder, liquid or cream products.
F60 - Foundation: Smooth foundation application. Apply liquid or cream products such as foundation and primer.

E05 - Eye Liner: Create smooth and even lines. Use with gel or liquid liners.
E30 - Pencil: Soften and smoke out lines. Soften pencil liners along the top and bottom lash lines, add shadow to line the eyes, or use to highlight inner corner of eyes.
F70 - Concealer: Conceal small areas. Conceal the hardest to reach areas such as around the nose and eyes
E40 - Tapered Blending: Soft blended crease. Using just the tips to apply color, sweep back and forth through the crease for a diffused and blended finish.
E55 - Eye Shading: Even application of color. Place color across the whole lid for an even and strong application of product.
E60 - Large Shader: Uniformly cover the whole lid with product. Apply cream shadow base or cream shadow for quick and even coverage.
E65 - Small Angle: Create precise lining. Moves fluidly and easily across the upper and lower lash lines. Use with gel, cream or powder liners.
E70 - Medium Angled Shading: Soft application of color. Use for brow highlighting or to blend the crease.
Overall, I am super happy with these.  Some slight issues with the cup and I dont see this as a good way to travel with brushes.  I think I roll would be a much better option.  I see the bristols getting smooshed on the large powder brush.  But these feel really good in your hand and are very well made.  I would strongly recommend these to anyone who is wanting to invest in a good set of brushes!

January Glam Bag/IPSY

I recieved my January glam bag and wanted to share it with you.  I am truly loving this service.  I get such a better value than I was getting from birchbox.  The samples are truly a delux sample and the availability of the products is great too!  Below is what I got:

Bag is super cute this month, a navy nylon type of bag and a lighter blue lining.

So glad I got the red!  I have seen some get a baby pink, but for me the red is best!

Smells great!  I havent used it yet though.

Josie Maran argon oil, something I have been wanting to try.

Big Sexy Hair hairspray.  great size for the travel bag

Eyeliner brush.  This is the second SOHO brush we have recieved and I really like them.  They are good quality and minimal shedding.

Ok, one Christmas gift!

I did want to share this one gift picture, lol. I broke up with my bf 2 weeks before Christmas so I certainly wasn't expecting any jewelry but my mom got me the cutest ring! It's a pandora ring, and given that I love pearls I certainly love this ring! The only bad thing is that it's sized to my right hand ring finger so I can't wear my grandmas diamond ring anymore. Maybe I will get that sized for a different finger though. We shall see.

Hello all!!

This last week has been pretty quiet for me. But not really fun quiet. I have had killer sinus pressure and then inflamed gums on top of it. Not a good combo. But I did get my bridge put in and I have a whole new smile....YAY!

I haven't really had anything to review for my blog. I thought of doing a Post on what I got for Christmas but decided against that. But I did a zoya order and got 3 of the pixie polishes on there, and did a sigma order too. I finally broke down and bought a brush set. My old Mary Kay set is on its last legs so it was time. It's also about time for my subscription services to come in and I closed a little black bag today too. Hopefully next week I will have all kinds of fun stuff to share!!

Final item, ring from jewelmint.  Cute ring...good value....not my taste.

Ive decided I am going to give this away.  If you want this ring leave me a comment and be a follower of my blog.  I will pick a person randomly on January 18th.  2 weeks.  I believe its a size 7.  My ring finger is an 8 and this would not fit.  I will also include a few other surprises in the package.
